Hey, I’m Arin.

a. for Arin

ko. for teruko, emiko, noriko and tamiko — the middle names of my three sisters and I and now, the “ko” in this kompany.

Hi, I’m Arin and I’m a.ko brand & design.

My education.

Upon completing an undergraduate degree in Business, majoring in Marketing and International Business from the University of Winnipeg, I knew my post-secondary education was not yet complete. I had a passion for design and fashion/lifestyle brands, which took me to George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario for a post-graduate certificate in International Fashion Development & Management.

My location.

Currently based in Winnipeg, MB, I have had the pleasure of creating content, visuals, words, events, and experiences across Canada in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver, as well as across the USA, UK, Australia, Thailand, Morocco, and Sri Lanka. With the accessibility and connectivity of the digital world, borders are no longer insurmountable boundaries in many of the branding services that companies need, so where ever you are, let’s connect.

My experience.

Dating back to 2012 I have been drawn to building brand experiences, content and lasting impressions. Working for lululemon on the store level and ivivva head office, these opportunities kicked off this passion. Over the course of the next decade I have taken opportunities interning, freelancing, and full-time with brands all across Canada with a particular interest in health, wellness, athleisure, CPG, in a variety of different sized businesses. The breadth of my experience has continued to grow over the years from early community work, marketing, social media and newsletter strategy, to also now integrate: graphic design, photography, creative direction, business strategy, omni channel marketing strategy, consulting, coaching and the many other services listed on a.ko’s all services page. I am looking forward to using this toolbelt to elevate the brand experience for more companies and brands across North America.

Building a brand or brand experience that leaves a lasting and impactful impression is my passion. The art of inspiring others is a practice I do not take lightly.
